OY FORCIT AB was founded in 1893. The company is the leading producer and supplier of commercial explosives in Finland and also operates a similar business in Sweden. In addition to commercial explosives, the company provides consultancy services on explosive technology and also produces and delivers to the military.
Group turnover in 2010 was EUR 69 million, which is an increase of 30% since 2008. The launch in Sweden in 2009 has proved a success. Continued growth is the key element in the company’s strategy for the future. We want to exploit the opportunities for growth within existing business, and at the same time are considering entering new markets in the Nordic region, either through acquisitions or new start-ups.
The company is currently working on a number of challenging projects and therefore wishes to strengthen the ability of the organization to manage and implement projects. The aim is to recruit someone who can take responsibility for line management and results as soon as individual projects are realized.
We are therefore looking to recruit a:
Project Director and Future Line Manager
Responsibility/duties
- Plan, manage and contribute to strategically important projects
- Support the existing organization in implementing measures
- Responsibility for future results
Qualifications
- High level of technical training
- Combination of experience in explosive technology and commerce
- Relevant experience in the use of explosives
- Commercial focus and experience in sales/marketing
Personal qualities
- Good commercial understanding
- Good cooperation skills
- Analytical, proactive and acts on initiative
- Inclusive method of working, yet independent
