Aniitti is a powdery ammonium nitrate explosive, which contains trotyl and aluminium, among other things. Aniitti is used as a column charge for benching in dry, as well as wet holes, and for tunnelling or stoping in populated areas.
Due to its additives, Aniitti is capable of enduring the momentary influence of water, assuming that the cover of the cartridge is unbroken. When charging wet holes with Aniitti, we recommend that the holes are blown dry and that the detonator is placed e.g. into a Fordyn cartridge. Aniitti has a high resistance to freezing.
When calculating charges, it is worthwhile to note that Aniitti packaged in plastic covered cartridges will have a higher density when charging, depending on the circumstances up to 30%.
