Firex electric detonators are manufactured by OY FORCIT AB. The wishes of Finnish detonator users as well as environmental considerations have been taken into account in the development of these CE-approved, safe, quality detonators.
Firex-VA
Because of their electrical properties Firex-VA detonators belong to group C and are made in two different types: Firex-VA-L or short delayed action fuse with a green and yellow cable, and Firex-VA-T or tunnel series with green and red cables.
Firex-UR
Firex-UR detonators belong to group B. UR detonators require only 10 % of the ignition energy of VA detonators, which means that the detonator device can explode more UR detonators in series than VA detonators. Firex UR type detonators are, however much more sensitive to thunder and lightening, power lines and the electric fields from radio and radar transmitters. Firex UR-L detonator cables are blue and yellow. UR detonators are only available as short delayed action detonators. All detonators are equipped with connector shells.
