The goal for OY FORCIT AB is to be a profitable company in the base chemical industry, with products and services that are competitive in quality and price and satisfy the customers. The company takes environmental and safety issues into consideration in all its actions.
Forcit develops and produces products, raw materials for them, or semi-finished products, which are safe, effective and versatile according to the customers requests. The different stages in product development, production and marketing are serving each other as customers. All members of the personnel are responsible for the quality of their own work. Each and everyone also has an obligation to monitor the surroundings, so that no product with deviation is used or delivered.
The quality system of Forcit has been audited and the company was granted ISO 9001 quality certificate. The quality system has to be constantly maintained and as far as possible improved. That is why the system has to be continuously audited both internally and by using external experts.
Our company and its personnel will be taking the surrounding nature into consideration in all its activities. It is not enough to take care of the neighbouring surroundings, as has been the case with our company throughout its years of existence, but in the future the environment will be taken into account in a much wider sense.
Since 1992 Forcit has committed itself to conform with the Responsible Care – program’s requirements for continuous improvement in enviromental issues. The company’s valid Environmental health and safety program extends to year 2005 and it consists of concrete goals to improve the activity. The company’s enviromental program has been audited and found to conform with the ISO 14001 environmental certificate.
We monitor constantly our discharges and waste and strive to lessen them by using the best available technology. At the moment the acid and nitrogen dioxide releases from the explosives factory as well as the discharge of solid components from the dispersion factory are under special supervision.
One of the most important objectives for the product development is to develop products, which are environmentally sound through their life span. When choosing raw materials, developing processes and optimizing the usage of energy, we have to consider the overall impact on the environment.
The production processes and the control of them are planned and developed to be safe and not damaging to the environment. The production is ensured by implementing continuous risk analysis and audits.
To further develop the quality system, quality goals are set each year in the Quality working groups. The working group for Safety and environment also set its yearly goals concerning environment and safety.
Forcit coaches its personnel in developing attitudes concerning quality, safety and environment, as well as expanding the knowledge in areas that are important in the continous improvement of the company’s activity.
OY FORCIT AB is committed to open and honest relations with its customers neighbors and the authorities. The company is making great efforts to inform its interest groups as well as possible, regarding the business of the company and possible changes in it.
