Warheads and Charges
Forcit Defence has over 25 years of experience in developing, manufacturing, testing and lifecycle support for various weapon systems for underwater-, land- and aerial solutions. These include sea mines, torpedoes, army engineering charges, depth charges, reactive armor and hollow charges.
Plastic Bonded Explosives Manufacturing
Forcit has developed and manufactured its own plastic bonded explosives product line, called Forcit Polymer Explosives. The product line covers explosives suitable for warheads or charges used in underwater-, land- and aerial weapon systems. Most famous of these is an EIDS-product FOXIT, which was awarded with an award of Technical Achievements in IMEMTS seminar in Bristol 2006. The award was the first to a Non-NATO country.
Plastic Explosives PENO
PENO is a plastic military explosive containing PETN, binders and a detectant. It is e.g. used in the clearance of ammunition and other engineering activities. PENO qualifies well for blasting requiring good cutting and permeability due to its high detonation velocity. It can also be used in underwater explosions.
Initiation Systems
Forcit produces detonating cord and imports safety fuse. Forcit has produced a 1.4S package suitable for army engineers.
R&D Services and Tailored Products
New weapon systems require a lot of development and expertise concerning the warhead and charge. Forcit is a professional in new product development and quality management.
Our laboratories and pilot plant provide valuable information in small scale production before serial products are made. Forcit works together with the customer in every phase of the warhead or charge development. These include idea evaluation, concept modeling, development work, piloting, testing and verification and production.
Weapon systems today have very varying operational, environmental and safety requirements. Forcit can work in cooperation with customers to face this challenge and make tailored products to fulfill the customer needs.
Forcit offers total life-cycle support to its products, including spare-part services and product expertise, especially explosives ageing issues. Forcit is constantly testing the ageing properties in its current products. This valuable information allows Forcit to support customer’s products life-cycles and ensuring the effectiveness and safety of their products.
